Ceramic Repairs

Repair & Renew Your Ceramic Protection.

Damage and everyday wear can compromise the performance of an existing ceramic coating. Whether your vehicle has been involved in an accident, undergone insurance repairs, had individual panels repainted or simply shows signs of coating deterioration over time, Allcar Prestige can restore its protection.

Your coating doesn’t always need to start again.

Professional Surface Preparation

Maintain Existing Protection

Preserve the performance and benefits of your vehicle’s existing protective coating.

A ceramic-coated vehicle can occasionally require paint or panel repairs, correction work or attention to an isolated area. While the underlying repair may only affect one section of the vehicle, the ceramic protection on that area may also need to be removed and reapplied.

Our ceramic repair service is designed to restore protection where it has been compromised. We assess the existing coating and affected area, prepare the surface correctly and reapply the appropriate protection to achieve a consistent result.
Before After

Repair the finish. Reinstate the protection.

The Ceramic Coating Process

The quality of a ceramic repair depends on what happens before the new coating is applied.

Step 01
Inspection
We assess the affected area, existing coating and condition of the underlying paintwork.
Step 02
Preparation
The surface is thoroughly cleaned and decontaminated before repair work begins.
Step 03
Correction
Where required, the paintwork is corrected or refined to address defects and prepare the surface.
Step 04
Surface Preparation
The area is prepared to create the correct foundation for the replacement coating.
Step 05
Reapplication
Ceramic protection is carefully reapplied to the affected area.
Step 06
Final Inspection

The finish is checked for consistency before the vehicle is handed back.

Why Allcar Prestige?

Protect the work that’s already been done.

Ceramic coatings are designed to provide long-term protection, so an isolated repair shouldn’t automatically mean starting again with the entire vehicle.

While it’s common practice to recommend recoating an entire vehicle after a single panel has been repaired, this isn’t always necessary. At Allcar Prestige, we assess each vehicle individually and offer targeted repair and recoating solutions that restore protection and appearance without the unnecessary expense of a complete vehicle recoat.

With more than 15 years of detailing and paint protection experience, Allcar Prestige can assess the condition of your existing coating and determine the right approach. We focus on repairing what’s needed, preparing it properly and restoring protection without unnecessary work.

What's included?

Targeted repairs. Proper preparation.

Ceramic coating repairs require more than simply applying another layer over the affected area. We assess what’s happened first and prepare the surface correctly before new protection is applied.

Coating Assessment

We inspect the affected area and surrounding surfaces to understand the condition of the existing ceramic coating.

Surface Preparation

The area is thoroughly cleaned and prepared to remove contaminants and create the correct surface for further work.

Paintwork Assessment

Where paintwork has been repaired or damaged, we carefully assess the repaired areas to determine if paint correction or refinement is required before recoating. We also inspect the surrounding panels and remaining paintwork to ensure a consistent level of gloss, clarity and finish across the entire vehicle.

Paint Refinement

Where necessary, the affected area is polished and refined to restore the finish before protection is reapplied.

Ceramic Reapplication

The appropriate ceramic protection is carefully reapplied to the prepared area.

Final Inspection

The repaired area and surrounding finish are inspected to ensure a clean and consistent result.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can a ceramic coating be repaired in one area?

Yes, in many cases an affected panel or section can be prepared and recoated without removing the ceramic coating from the entire vehicle. We’ll inspect the vehicle first to determine the appropriate approach.

In many cases, yes. If your vehicle was ceramic coated before the accident, the cost of recoating repaired panels may be covered as part of your insurance claim. We recommend notifying your insurer you have had paint protection applied before any claim. Allcar Prestige can provide documentation and professionally restore the ceramic coating after the repairs are complete.
If a coated panel has been repainted, polished or otherwise repaired, the ceramic protection on that area may have been removed or compromised. Reapplication restores protection to the repaired surface.
We can assess coatings applied by other detailers and advise on the best approach. The options available may depend on the coating used, its condition and the repair required.
Changes in water behaviour, contamination, inconsistent gloss or an area that no longer performs like surrounding panels can indicate an issue. However, poor performance doesn’t always mean the coating has failed, so professional assessment is worthwhile.
Removing a scratch generally involves polishing the affected paintwork, which can also remove the ceramic coating in that area. Once corrected, the surface can be prepared and recoated.
It depends on the location and extent of the repair, the existing coating and the condition of the surrounding area. We’ll recommend the approach that produces the most consistent result.
