Ideal for Older Vehicles

Perfect for older vehicles, resale preparation and giving your car a fresh finish.

Years of UV exposure, weather and everyday driving can cause headlight lenses to become cloudy, yellowed or faded. Aside from making an otherwise well-presented vehicle look older, deterioration can also reduce the amount of light passing through the lens.

Our headlight restoration process removes damaged and oxidised material from the lens before carefully refining the surface to restore clarity. The result is a cleaner, fresher appearance that can make a noticeable difference to the front of your vehicle.
Before After

A clear result starts with proper preparation.

Our Headlight Restoration Process

We use a staged restoration process rather than relying on temporary products designed to simply mask cloudy or oxidised lenses.
Step 01
Inspection
We assess the condition of both headlights and determine the level of restoration required.
Step 02
Preparation
Surrounding paintwork and trims are protected before work begins.
Step 03
Restoration
Oxidised and deteriorated material is carefully removed from the lens surface.
Step 04
Refinement
The lens is progressively refined to restore a smooth and consistent surface.
Step 05
Polish & Protect
The headlights are polished for clarity and suitable protection is applied or recommended.
Step 06
Final Inspection
Both headlights are checked for clarity, consistency and overall finish before handover.

Pricing

Every headlight is different, which is why we offer restoration packages based on the level of oxidation and damage rather than a one-price-fits-all service.

Stage 2 Restoration

Moderate to heavy oxidation and UV damage

Stage 3 Restoration + Ceramic UV Protection

Full restoration with long-term ceramic protection

Frequently Asked Questions

Why do headlights become cloudy or yellow?
Most modern headlights use plastic lenses that are exposed to sunlight, heat, road grime and weather. Over time, UV exposure can deteriorate the outer surface and cause the lens to become cloudy, faded or yellow.
Cloudy or yellowed headlights can become a roadworthy issue if they significantly reduce light output or visibility. While discolouration itself isn’t automatically illegal, headlights must provide adequate illumination to meet Australian road safety standards. Restoring faded or oxidised headlights improves night-time visibility, enhances your vehicle’s appearance and can help ensure it remains roadworthy.
Many headlights with external oxidation and surface deterioration can be significantly improved. However, cracking, internal moisture or damage inside the headlight assembly may require repair or replacement instead.
Restoring clarity to a heavily oxidised lens can improve the amount and quality of light passing through it. However, restoration won’t correct issues with globes, LEDs, reflectors or other components inside the headlight.
Longevity depends on the condition of the headlights, exposure to the elements and how they’re maintained afterwards. Adding appropriate UV protection can help preserve the restored finish for longer.
If the headlight assembly itself is in good condition and the deterioration is primarily on the outer lens, restoration can be a far more practical option than replacing the complete assembly.
Yes. Cloudy headlights can make a vehicle look noticeably older in photos and in person, and in some cases make the vehicle un-roadworthy. So headlight restoration can be particularly worthwhile as part of preparing a car for sale.
